invisalignHave you ever considered straightening your teeth? Have you ever dreamed of getting that perfect smile? Now it’s easier than ever to straighten your teeth. Invisalign is the invisible, quicker alternative to braces. Dr. Sid Solomon DDS is one of Los Angeles’ top Invisalign dentists. In fact, he has been proudly recognized by Invisalign for his high number of successful cases.

Why straighten your teeth?

Straight teeth are not only more aesthetically appealing, but also healthier for your teeth and gums. Crooked teeth have many corners where food and bacteria can accumulate and result in higher chances of tooth decay and periodontal (gum) disease. Thus, straight teeth allow for better dental hygiene. In addition, the gums will fit more tightly around the teeth and allow for better oral health. Crooked teeth also allow for increased incidences of injury to the teeth and jaw. Crooked teeth often overlap and are more likely to break in traumatic events. Moreover, crooked teeth can cause the whole jaw to be misaligned. This may cause the surrounding muscles and joints to be overworked and result in TMJ problems.

Why Invisalign?

Dr. Sid Solomon DDS and Invisalign

Invisalign allows you to straighten your teeth without the embarrassment or discomfort of traditional braces. Traditional braces use sharp wires, uncomfortable brackets and troublesome bands to move your teeth. In contrast, Invisalign straightens your teeth gradually using a series of nearly invisible removable aligners. These aligners are custom made and must be changed every two weeks. The first aligner will represent the present alignment of your teeth and the last aligner will represent the straight alignment of your teeth. In addition, the entire Invisalign treatment usually only takes a year whereas traditional braces usually take three or four years.
